There are large and persistent differences in pay and employment across the country. What has caused this regional inequality, and how has it changed over time? At this event, Xiaowei Xu (IFS) explained what we currently know about these questions, including the role of skills in driving differences between areas, and what we can do to start fixing these issues.
This event is part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
