<p>This working paper forms part of the evaluation of Pathways to Work funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). <p>The Pathways to Work programme is an important policy innovation in Britain. It provides greater support, obligations and incentives for claimants of incapacity benefits with the goal of encouraging employment. The programme has various components, including a 'Choices' package. 'Choices' is the collective name for a variety of voluntary schemes intended to improve labour market readiness and opportunities. Previous quantitative research has focused on the overall impact of Pathways to Work while this study was designed to look at the impact of the Choices component. </p></p>
