<p><p><p>This Briefing Note examines what proportion of families have pre-tax private incomes exceeding net support from the state. The analysis was undertaken using the IFS tax and benefit microsimulation model, TAXBEN, and data from the Family Resources Survey and the Family expenditure Survey.</p></p></p>
