Preferences for and understanding of pensions and other saving

With rising concern that individuals are not saving enough for retirement, IFS research explores what individuals’ preferences are for saving, whether and how these vary across groups, and what level of knowledge individuals have about the savings options available. This area of research is relevant both to policymakers trying to incentivise saving and to academics trying to model individual saving behaviour.
