In an article in Prospect magazine (£), Paul Johnson looks at recent reforms to public sector pensions and asks whether we can expect more reforms to come.
Largely unremarked, other perhaps by those affected, substantive reforms to two of the biggest public sector pension schemes were implemented on April 1 this year. These changes to the NHS and the teachers’ schemes mark the end of the series of reforms set in train following Lord (John) Hutton’s report published in 2011.
