Fiscal instruments in environmental policy

The recent Environment White Paper, This Common Inheritance, has signalled the British Government's intention that policy in a wide range of areas should reflect environmental concerns, and both Britain and the European Community have been active participants in international negotiations on cross-country and global environmental problems.</p>
