Sara is a Research Assistant in the development sector of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, the Centre for the Evaluation of Development Policies (EDePo). The research projects she is working on is an evaluation of a sanitation intervention in India, focusing on elevating liquidity and awareness constraints in the adoption and use of toilets. Sara is a PhD Candidate at the School of Social Sciences at the University of Trento (Italy). Her PhD research is on migration and development, with a particular focus on the impact of labour remittances on healthcare access of relatives left behind. She has also conducted research on the role of migration as coping startegy against climatic shocks exposure.

Credit constraints are considered to be an important barrier hindering adoption of preventive health investments among low-income households in developing countries. We find labelling loans is a viable strategy to improve uptake of lumpy preventive health investments.
