Giulia Giupponi is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies for the year 2019/2020 and she will join Bocconi University as Assistant Professor in 2020. She earned a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2019. She is an Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance. Her research interests lie in the area of Labour and Public Economics, with a focus on the employment and welfare effects of social insurance programs, the impact of minimum wages on firm behaviour and the wage structure, the rise of alternative work arrangements, and inequalities in the labour market.
