IFS Residential Conference 2009: Education Policy in the 21st Century

Every other year, IFS holds a one-and-a-half-day residential conference that brings together leading academics, policymakers and practitioners to share their perspectives on an important area of public policy. The 2009 conference will focus on education, addressing three key policy challenges:

  • Schools: How can school quality and performance be improved? (Thursday afternoon)
  • Adult skills: Are effective interventions for low-skilled adults possible? (Friday morning)
  • Universities: Where next for higher education policy? (Friday afternoon)

This will be an exciting opportunity to share ideas and help shape future policymaking.

Speakers and presentations (*Please note that no presentation is to be quoted without the speaker's permission*):
