How high should the corporate tax rate be?

After decades of cuts to the corporation tax rate, a large reversal is now planned. Is this the right move? What effects will it have? Will it hurt investment or make us uncompetitive? Will it hit some sectors harder than others?
More broadly, how significant actually is the headline rate to business? Should the Government be revisiting the tax base? What impact will the super-deduction have? And how welcome is the return of the small profits rate?

Our expert panel will bring a range of different perspectives to this hugely topical debate.

Our panel will include:
Brian Chapman - former Group Tax Director, BAE Systems
Morag Loader – Infrastructure Project Finance Tax Specialist
Helen Miller – Deputy Director and Head of Tax, IFS
David Murray – Tax Policy Principal, Anglo American

This online event is free to join and open to all with an interest in the topic. If you have colleagues or friends who might also enjoy the discussion do please tell them about it.
