Spring Budget 2020: IFS analysis

The Chancellor is due to deliver his first Budget on Wednesday 11 March 2020. This will also be the first Budget of this Parliament, and the first since Autumn 2018. IFS researchers will present their initial analysis of the Chancellor's announcements on the public finances, spending on public services, and the tax and the benefit system on the following day, Thursday 12 March, at a lunchtime briefing chaired and introduced by IFS Director Paul Johnson in central London.

Registration will take place between 12:30 and 13:00, when a sandwich lunch will be served. The briefing will commence at 13:00.

Tickets for this briefing are now sold out, but you can join the waiting list by using the "Buy Tickets" button below. If a space becomes available, you will be sent a link to buy your ticket (full price tickets cost £51.61 inc VAT and booking fees). We will also be live-streaming this event on Twitter and our Budget 2020 page.

Corporate members receive five free places at this event. For more information on membership, please click here. To check if your company is a corporate member, please email members@ifs.org.uk.
