Gabriella Conti, Associate Professor in Economics at UCL and a Research Fellow at IFS, has won the 2019 Philip Leverhulme Prize in economics. Gabriella shares the prize with 4 other economists, who are recognised as "outstanding researchers whose work has already attracted international recognition and whose future career is exceptionally promising." Philip Leverhulme Prizes have been awarded each year since 2001.
Gabriella's work explores the developmental origins of health inequalities, and the behavioral and biological pathways through which early life conditions affect well-being throughout the lifecourse.
