We are delighted to announce that IFS will be a partner in the newly established National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Obesity Policy Research Unit (OPRU), to be hosted by the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and in partnership with researchers at IFS, UCL, City University and King’s College, London.
OPRU has received funding of £5 million from the Department of Health to help improve the evidence base to support the government in the implementation and evaluation of its Childhood Obesity Plan. The key IFS researchers who are involved in OPRU are Rachel Griffith, Martin O’Connell and Kate Smith.
