This report presents findings from secondary analysis of the Families and Children Study (FACS) and British Household Panel Study (BHPS), measuring partnership dynamics amongst mothers and exploring the impact of partnership breakdown and (re)partnering on family employment status. Both surveys collect information on partnership and employment histories, with spells dated by calendar month, and data from the two surveys have been used in a combined form.
