This project evaluates the government's Sure Start
Wraparound pilot projects.
A three year wraparound care pilot programme was announced by the Government in October 2000 as part of its early years expansion programme. The aim was to raise the quality of early years provision for children and attract more parents back into the labour market or into training by providing more flexible care wrapped around a free early years education place.
