The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is implementing a Conditional Cash Transfer for secondary school attendance targetting the poorest segments of the population. Two modalities of payment are programmed to be experimented with and analyzed by our team. First, in half the municipalities the head of household (generally a man) will receive the transfer, while in the other half the recipient will be main female figure in the household. Second, in half the municipalities the transfer will be of equal size in each quarter, while in the other half there will be a bonus at the end of the year. The allocation of municipalities to payment modalities will be done through a lottery.
