In this project we test the risk sharing hypothesis within neighbourhoods and villages in Colombia, using detailed household data from the Familias en Accion evaluation. A variety of tests are used to do this. Further, during the second follow-up survey of the evaluation conducted in 2005, risk sharing games were played in 70 of the 122 evaluation localities. The data collected from these games enable us to identify participants' networks. We shall use these data to test for extent and efficiency of risk sharing within these networks.
