In 2006 the Colombian Government launched a new strategy for the reduction of extreme poverty designed after the successful experience of Chile Solidario, The "Juntos" network is an integral and coordinated effort of different government bodies (and tiers) to improve the welfare of households living in extreme poverty and provide means to produce their own income in a sustainable way. The IFS is part of a team of research institutions working at the impact evaluation of the Juntos network. Based on a randomized design that exploits the expansion plan of the strategy generating exogenous variation in treatment intensity (dose) and duration of exposure to the programme, the study aims at determining the effectiveness of the strategy on a wide range of multidimensional poverty and welfare indicators.
