Emla is a senior research economist at the Institute, working mainly in the Centre for the Evaluation of Development Policies, as well as in the education, employment and evaluation research sector. She works on a variety of issues including children's schooling decisions, microfinance and poverty, reproductive health and poverty, early cognitive development, and the funding of higher education in the UK.
