Ellen joined the IFS in 2009 as a Research Economist in the education, employment and evaluation research sector. Her current research uses survey data sets to explore pupil well-being and attainment. In an extension to previous work at the IFS, Ellen is working on a project to assess the impact of a pupil's month of birth on their non-cognitive skills. Ellen is also assessing whether there is a causal impact of parents' marital status on child outcomes.
