Bansi is a Senior Research Economist in the EDePo sector. She joined the institute as a research economist in 2007. Her general research interests include understanding the role of social networks in shaping economics outcomes, investigating how households share risk in developing countries, and education and health in developing countries. Her past work has focused on how fertility decisions affect household investments in education and on understanding how households adjust to the provision of nutrition related information in resource-poor communities.
