Chiara is a Research Associate with the Centre for the Evaluation of Development Policies. She is a lecturer in economics at the University of Southampton. Her research interests focus on the economics of development of low income countries. She has worked extensively on human capital investment decisions and the dynamics of returns to schooling in Latin America. Her current research is on quality of education and access to school in Mexico and on the study of economic and social inequality in Central and Eastern Europe. Chiara is also involved in the evaluation of a Village Savings and Loan Associations program in rural Malawi.
