Heike is a Research Associate in the productivity and innovation sector. She joined the institute in 2003 and completed her PhD at UCL in 2006. She now works as an Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Her research projects include the effects of regulation on the UK retail sector; the influence of learning on consumer choices; the role of trust in experience goods markets. Most recently she is involved in evaluating the impact of microfinance on small enterprises in Bosnia and Mongolia using randomised field experiments.
