Graham Stark is a senior research officer at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He was born in Coatbridge, Scotland, in 1958, and educated at Cumbernauld High School and the Universities of Aberdeen and York. He has worked at the IFS since 1985. His main research interest is microsimulation modeling using large data sets. Graham was the principle designer of the IFS Tax and Benefit Model, Mk 2, the WILDE company accounts data base system, and the IFS's Family Expenditure Survey database. He is also responsible for the IFS's Virtual Economy model.
