Luca Pellerano is a development economist with comprehensive experience in the area of monitoring and evaluation of social policies. Prior to joining the IFS he worked as a consultant at the Evaluation Unit of the Colombian Government, where he acquired strong expertise in evaluation methodology design. His previous experience includes the design and development of several rigorous impact evaluations of public programmes, particularly in the areas of social protection, internally displaced population local development and peace building. He is specialized in econometric techniques for the analysis of microdata, and has a strong academic interest for mixed qualitative/quantitative methods in social research. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Applied Quantitative Methods from the University of Genoa and a Msc in Economics from the University College London.
