Lorraine Dearden, Research Fellow in the Education, Employment and Evaluation Sector at the IFS and Professor of Economics and Social Statistics at the Institute of Education, has been appointed an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences. The award is for making a significant contribution to the social sciences and is by nomination and peer group review.
