The Centre for Microdata Methods and Practice (cemmap) was founded in 2000 with a grant from the Leverhulme Trust. On July 1st 2007, cemmap becomes a Research Centre of the Economic and Social Research Council of the UK. To mark this occasion, on June 28th-30th, the Centre stages a conference Microeconometrics: Measurement Matters exploring the interrelationships between measurement, microeconometric methods and practice and knowledge of economic processes. Many of the world's leading contributors to the development of microeconometric methods will present papers at the meeting. The new national Research Centre will provide a focus for development, understanding and application of methods for modelling individual behaviour, the influences on it and the impact of policy interventions. For more information, please see the cemmap website.
