Authors from the ESRC Centre for the Microeconomic Analysis of Public Policy at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), with the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy and Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), will examine the effect of UK government policies on energy use and carbon pricing.

In the report (funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)) the researchers set out the policy landscape faced by UK energy users, show how the multitude of different policies create inconsistency and complexity, and suggest potential options for reform.

Findings will be presented at this briefing and the research team will be available to answer questions. Places are limited: please contact the IFS events team if you wish to attend.
