Statistical Graphics
What are statistical graphics, and how do they differ from presentation graphics and 'infovis' (information visualisation)? What constitutes a good or bad graph and what is the process for graph construction? How can I create a graph that looks like this? The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to methods for effective visualisation of quantitative data for scientific research purposes, and to illustrate the methods using a mixture of show-and-tell and hands-on exercises by course participants. The software used is Stata.
