Structural and Reduced Form
Policy Effects: An Invited Lecture organised by PEPA
I will discuss how the consideration of economic structure, and particularly dynamics, can be crucial in policy evaluation. In particular, I will discuss several examples from my own work that illustrate how models with and without dynamics lead to seriously different conclusions with respect to important policies like work subsidies and welfare benefits. The talk will be fairly nontechnical.
