Simulating the WFTC reform with a discrete choice labour supply model
The data files and code provided allow you to estimate a discrete choice model of labour supply on a sample of lone mothers and to simulate the labour market impact of the Working Families' Tax Credit (WFTC) reform. The data and model are simplifed version of those used in Blundell et al. (2000), Brewer et al. (2006) and Blundell and Shephard (2008). The dataset has been constructed using Family Resources Survey data (various years) together with the IFS microsimulation model, TAXBEN.
