Drawing on more than 20 years of empirical research Professor James Banks, one of the principal investigators of the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, a co-director of the ESRC Centre for the Microeconomic Analysis of Public Policy at IFS, and one of the UK's leading researchers in the economics of ageing, gave the IFS annual lecture.
James is Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester and Co-director of the ESRC Centre for the Microeconomic Analysis of Public Policy at IFS. He is also Co-Principal Investigator of the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing.
